*Terrible Service and Doctor’s Fee is Ridiculous!*
I went to this hospital today to do PCR test since I got covid symptoms for the last 3 days. It’s not my first time to visit this hospital since my last visit 2 years ago. Upon arrival I’ve told to the nurse or the receptionist that I got covid symptoms, the receptionist or nurse asked me to wait outside for the buggy pickup service to dropped me to ARI clinic where only less than 2 minutes walk.
Once I arrived, the medical staff asked me to go to room 3 to do general medical check such as do body temperature check, tension rate, etc. They also asked my symptoms and required to send my ATK result through the QR code. After that, they asked me to wait outside without further directions.
5 minutes after, I received a call from unknown caller and yeah the caller is a doctor. He reconfirmed my symptoms and suggest to do antigen test instead of PCR test. But since I got 2 different results of ATK test this morning, I request to to do PCR test instead. Without any further discussion or explanation then he hang up the call. In this scenario I didn’t talk with the doctor directly but just by call. And FYI, we spoke less than 2 minutes.
Few moment later, I got another call from cashier and they informed me to pay 2,900THB of the total amount 3,900THB. Because my Insurance can only covered for 1,000THB. I checked the bill and saw they charged me for management evaluation and management service is 1,000THB + hospital service 250THB. I asked them why Hospital service is two times changed but they said 1,000THB is purely doctor fees or doctor consultation fees. Once again, I just talked to the doctor by phone and no consultation at all. I even talk for less than 2 minutes. In another private hospital they only charged 300THB for the doctor’s fee even for the specialist.
Other than that, most of their staff have a language barrier and make our communication more complicated. I’ve done the medical treatment at a few private hospitals in Bangkok, but this is so terrible ever. Either for the service and also for the charges.
The motto of the hospital is Home of God’s Love and Compassion, but at the reality is not just more than home of scammer. The charge especially for doctor’s fee is really really ridiculous and unreasonable. Imbalance between service and price.
Management evaluation is required to improve the service instead of increased the charge but the patient get less even so unsatisfied.
Having spent 5 days in 1st Louis in both icy and general ward I found doctors nurses medical and lay staff most professional cheerful and attentive. The accommodation was 5 star good outstanding. I cannot praise this hospital enough. They saved my life.
This hospital is so important in my life that I don’t know what I would do without them. They have been so helpful to me in the past and have helped me through problems I have faced. I have been to different hospitals in my life, but this one is the best one for me. They have helped me so much through the years and I know that I can trust them with any medical needs. This is an essential service that I need in my life.
This is a hospital I recently visited. I had an amazing experience at this hospital. My doctor was very thorough and really listened to my concerns. I was seen quickly and the hospital was clean and the nurses were kind. This was the best hospital I have visited.
Dr. Prayong is kind, formidable and returns phone calls
They pull the car salesman bait and switch price tactics. Tell you what the pacemaker implant is going to cost- circle the price they write on the paper. Never a breakdown of fees prior to the surgery. I stayed 2 nights. It was quoted as costing 650,000 baht. When I went to pay the bill, it was 917,000 baht. I tried debating the big lady about the discrepancy between the initial quote and the final tab. She didn’t want to listen. Pay up. I’ll never go back there.
